Ils nous font partager le journal de bord de leurs deux premi\u00e8res semaines de navigation. Depuis septembre, le projet a fait son chemin dans toutes les t\u00eates et nous avons d\u00e9j\u00e0 appris quelques rudiments de course au large \u00e0 travers des vid\u00e9os sur le Vend\u00e9e Globe 2016, le lexique sp\u00e9cifique aux diff\u00e9rentes parties d\u2019un voilier et l\u2019utilisation de l\u2019application Virtual Regatta. Charlie et Robin ont aussi engag\u00e9 leur propre bateau, tout comme Gauthier, un CM2 qui a v\u00e9cu la Mini-Transat avec la classe l\u2019an pass\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lundi 9 novembre.<\/strong> Premier pointage. Nous d\u00e9couvrons les diff\u00e9rents skippers et, \u00e0 l\u2019aide du \u00ab tchat \u00bb, nous prenons des nouvelles de nos camarades royannais, une classe de CM1 amie qui participe elle aussi \u00e0 la course. Nous travaillons d\u00e9j\u00e0 un peu sur le parcours gr\u00e2ce au <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vendeeglobe.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">site officiel du Vend\u00e9e Globe<\/a> et \u00e0 sa <a href=\"https:\/\/vendeeglobejunior.vendee.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">d\u00e9clinaison junior<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mardi 10 novembre.<\/strong> En lecture, nous d\u00e9couvrons les difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 venir, comme le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bateaux.com\/article\/24401\/pot-au-noir\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pot au noir<\/a>. L\u2019utilisation d\u2019un planisph\u00e8re et d\u2019un globe nous permet de comparer les continents en d\u00e9passant les fausses certitudes li\u00e9es aux projections des cartes planes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jeudi 12 novembre.<\/strong> En g\u00e9ographie, nous travaillons sur le Golfe de Gascogne. Nous construisons une carte et y rep\u00e9rons les principaux caps comme le Cap Finisterre ou la Pointe du Raz.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-12331 alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.usep.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/29-Vendee-bonus-3-geo-Europe-ouest-207x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Vendredi 13 novembre.<\/strong> Pris par le virus de la course, deux \u00e9l\u00e8ves, Baptiste et Nohan, ont eux aussi rejoint la course avec leurs parents. Nous comparons nos trajectoires et discutons de nos choix respectifs. Les distances parcourues ou \u00e0 parcourir permettent de poser et r\u00e9soudre des probl\u00e8mes math\u00e9matiques. Nos amis royannais ont une dizaine d\u2019heures d\u2019avance sur nous : un virement de bord rat\u00e9 de notre part, il y a quelques jours&#8230; C\u2019est l\u2019occasion d\u2019expliquer par quelques sch\u00e9mas les deux principales man\u0153uvres : le virement de bord et l\u2019empennage. En sciences, nous entamons une s\u00e9quence sur le mouvement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lundi 16 novembre.<\/strong> Munis d\u2019un d\u00e9cam\u00e8tre, nous tra\u00e7ons \u00e0 la craie, dans la cour de r\u00e9cr\u00e9ation, la silhouette de notre Imoca, afin que chacun puisse se rendre compte de ses dimensions. Nous expliquons aux CP et aux CE1 ce que nous faisons. Le\u00efla et Iziana sont stup\u00e9faites : \u00ab Mais c\u2019est \u00e9norme ! \u00bb. Des \u00e9l\u00e8ves montent ensuite sur le pont et jouent \u00e0 tendre les voiles, tels des pirates en herbe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mardi 17 novembre.<\/strong> Chaque semaine, un \u00e9l\u00e8ve est nomm\u00e9 pour relever quotidiennement les donn\u00e9es sur l\u2019application num\u00e9rique. Report\u00e9es sur un tableau, elles permettront d\u2019\u00e9tablir l&rsquo;historique du voyage. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 vendredi, c\u2019est Baptiste qui s\u2019y colle. Il nous donnera la temp\u00e9rature, les milles \u00e0 parcourir et parcourus, la vitesse, le cap du bateau ainsi que la vitesse du vent. Nous travaillons r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement les allures pour comprendre pourquoi nous allons plus vite ou moins vite que le vent. \u00c7a commence \u00e0 rentrer pour tout le monde, c\u2019est chouette. Apr\u00e8s un peu plus d\u2019une semaine de course, presque tous les \u00e9l\u00e8ves sont capables de comprendre pourquoi on choisit un cap et pas un autre. Nous devions f\u00eater ce passage avec eux par Skype mais il y a eu un probl\u00e8me de connexion. Finalement, c\u2019est en cour de r\u00e9cr\u00e9ation qu\u2019avec quelques \u00e9l\u00e8ves nous vivons l\u2019instant o\u00f9 ils arrivent \u00e0 0\u00b0 de latitude. Symboliquement, leur maitre leur offre un verre de soda, sirop \u00e0 l\u2019eau ou jus d\u2019orange pour f\u00eater dignement Neptune. L\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi, nous \u00e9tudions la r\u00e9gion intertropicale \u00e0 travers les pays du Maghreb et les diff\u00e9rentes \u00eeles que nous avons crois\u00e9es : A\u00e7ores, Canaries, Mad\u00e8re et Cap-Vert. Espagnols et les Portugais avaient eux aussi plant\u00e9 leur drapeau sur des \u00eeles du large&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vendredi 20 novembre.<\/strong> Nous avons pass\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9quateur hier soir vers 22 h 30, une demi-journ\u00e9e apr\u00e8s nos camarades. C\u2019\u00e9tait frustrant de ne pas le vivre en classe, mais nous en avons beaucoup parl\u00e9. Comme nous voici maintenant dans l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud, il convient de briser quelques contre-v\u00e9rit\u00e9s : non, nous n\u2019avons pas la t\u00eate en bas, et non, nous n\u2019allons pas vers le chaud malgr\u00e9 les temp\u00e9ratures tropicales dont profitent actuellement les skippers. Nous suivons tout particuli\u00e8rement Alex Thomson, dont le bateau nous plait beaucoup. Nous regardons des vid\u00e9os sur lui et Mya a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une magnifique maquette de son Imoca avec son p\u00e8re. En sciences, nous continuons \u00e0 \u00e9tudier comment se forme le mouvement. Nous faisons le parall\u00e8le avec les bateaux. Nous prenons aussi des nouvelles des voiliers de Baptiste, Nohan, Gauthier et Charlie. Ils ne devraient pas tarder \u00e0 franchir l\u2019\u00e9quateur \u00e0 leur tour. Le groupe de t\u00eate a toujours eu du vent, pas les autres. Peu \u00e0 peu, les temp\u00e9ratures baissent. En g\u00e9ographie, nous construisons toujours des cartes et apprenons \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser des l\u00e9gendes. Nous \u00e9tudions tout particuli\u00e8rement les continents et les oc\u00e9ans. C\u2019est plus facile de retenir les noms quand on met du sens dans ce qu\u2019on fait. Car nos connaissances nous permettent de mieux comprendre le parcours de la course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mardi 24 novembre.<\/strong> En fran\u00e7ais, nous continuons \u00e0 r\u00e9diger le journal de bord de la classe. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une dict\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019adulte, afin de r\u00e9aliser un \u00e9crit commun. Bient\u00f4t, nous produirons aussi des \u00e9crits personnels afin de mettre en valeurs les sentiments, les sensations, les doutes et les joies d&rsquo;un skipper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jeudi 26 novembre.<\/strong> \u00c0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un Atlas, nous d\u00e9couvrons dans le d\u00e9tail l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Sud : le nom des pays, leur capitale. Nous avons aussi rep\u00e9r\u00e9 le cap Horn et le fleuve Amazone. Du coup, nous avons observ\u00e9 la diff\u00e9rence entre une carte politique et une carte physique. En travaillant sur la latitude et la longitude, nous rep\u00e9rons le m\u00e9ridien de Greenwich et faisons un petit exercice pour rep\u00e9rer les bateaux sur un planisph\u00e8re. Pas facile !<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vendredi 27.<\/strong> Nous achevons notre deuxi\u00e8me semaine de navigation. Toute la classe est ravie de vivre la course. En rentrant de r\u00e9cr\u00e9ation, pour calmer les \u00e9nergies, nous regardons souvent une vid\u00e9o de skipper : aujourd\u2019hui, Jean Le Cam.\u00a0 En musique, on apprend deux chants : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IxkDTzSRCvc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab Le vent dans les voiles \u00bb<\/a>, des Enfantastiques, et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mJCWVA9J31k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab La Baleine bleue \u00bb<\/a> de Steve Waring.
