Vos ouvrages proposent d\u2019aider les enseignants \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux besoins \u00e9ducatifs particuliers des \u00e9l\u00e8ves en situation de handicap, dans le cadre de l\u2019EPS. Quelle est l\u2019origine de cette collection\u00a0? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tout est parti d\u2019une sollicitation des \u00e9ditions EPS, qui ont constitu\u00e9 un groupe de travail pour faire le point sur le sujet. Dans le sillage de la <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Loi_pour_l%27%C3%A9galit%C3%A9_des_droits_et_des_chances,_la_participation_et_la_citoyennet%C3%A9_des_personnes_handicap%C3%A9es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">loi de 2005 sur l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des chances pour tous<\/a>, les coll\u00e8gues des classes ordinaires \u00e9taient confront\u00e9s \u00e0 la scolarisation d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ves en situation de handicap. Fruit de pr\u00e8s de trois ans de travail, l\u2019ouvrage <em>Handicaps et activit\u00e9 physique<\/em> a propos\u00e9 une d\u00e9marche d\u2019observation et d\u2019adaptation. Restait ensuite \u00e0 la d\u00e9cliner en situations p\u00e9dagogiques concr\u00e8tes. C\u2019est ce que nous faisons depuis, en profitant de l\u2019expertise technique de coll\u00e8gues\u00a0dans une activit\u00e9 donn\u00e9e\u00a0: Marianne Hassid pour la danse, pour prendre l\u2019exemple de notre dernier fascicule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment r\u00e9sumeriez-vous votre d\u00e9marche\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En une phrase, ce pourrait \u00eatre\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Sachant la diversit\u00e9 des \u00e9l\u00e8ves, comment r\u00e9pondre aux besoins d\u2019apprentissage de tous\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb Nos propositions s\u2019appuient sur les dispositifs imagin\u00e9s par les enseignants pour compenser le d\u00e9savantage subi par les \u00e9l\u00e8ves en situation de handicap. Mais cette approche vaut pour tout \u00e9l\u00e8ve\u00a0: le handicap, ce sont d\u2019abord des besoins d\u2019apprentissage. Et des besoins d\u2019apprentissage, tout \u00e9l\u00e8ve en a.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9129 alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.usep.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Nov-handicap-4-photo-rencontre-dans\u00e9e-Usep-300x218.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>La situation diff\u00e8re toutefois selon qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019une classe ordinaire ou d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ves d\u2019un \u00e9tablissement sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bien s\u00fbr\u00a0: un \u00e9ducateur en institut \u00e9ducatif moteur (IEM) \u00e9vitera de proposer du saut en hauteur \u00e0 des \u00e9l\u00e8ves en fauteuil, alors qu\u2019en classe ordinaire il s\u2019agira plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de mettre l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve en situation de handicap en r\u00e9ussite parmi ses pairs valides, en proposant des adaptations qui permettent de maintenir sa motivation, et de restaurer une image de soi souvent d\u00e9grad\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment avez-vous choisi les activit\u00e9s d\u00e9clin\u00e9es en fascicule\u00a0? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De fa\u00e7on tr\u00e8s pragmatique. Plut\u00f4t que de proposer des activit\u00e9s innovantes con\u00e7ues pour tel ou tel profil d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve, nous sommes partis de ce que pratiquent au quotidien les professeurs des \u00e9coles\u00a0: \u00e0 savoir les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revue-eps.com\/fr\/jeux-et-sports-collectifs_o-15400.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">jeux collectifs<\/a>, la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revue-eps.com\/fr\/natation-500-adaptations-pour-une-inclusion-reussie_o-15401.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">natation<\/a>, l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.revue-eps.com\/fr\/athletisme_o-15549.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">athl\u00e9tisme<\/a>, les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revue-eps.com\/fr\/activites-expressives-et-artistiques_o-15578.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">activit\u00e9s expressives<\/a>. Cela nous laisse encore les activit\u00e9s de plein air, l\u2019orientation, le \u00ab\u00a0roule et glisse\u00a0\u00bb\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>D\u2019o\u00f9 proc\u00e8dent les situations p\u00e9dagogiques propos\u00e9es\u00a0? De r\u00e9flexions personnelles ou d\u2019exp\u00e9riences innovantes men\u00e9es par d\u2019autres\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Xavier Chigot\u00a0:<\/em> Un peu des deux. Je m\u2019occupe beaucoup des troubles fonctions motrices, en lien avec les \u00e9tablissements ressources du Val-de-Marne. Je vais dans les classes et r\u00e9fl\u00e9chis avec les enseignants \u00e0 des adaptations dans toutes les disciplines, dont l\u2019EPS. \u00ab\u00a0Comment faire\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0: chaque jour, c\u2019est la question.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Votre d\u00e9marche repose sur trois temps\u00a0: l\u2019observation des \u00e9l\u00e8ves, la formulation d\u2019hypoth\u00e8ses et la proposition d\u2019adaptations. Pouvez-vous donner un exemple\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prenons la danse. Premier temps\u00a0: observer l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve en situation de handicap au sein d\u2019un groupe d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ves valides. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019\u00eatre attentif aux obstacles qu\u2019il rencontre, mais aussi et surtout \u00e0 ses potentialit\u00e9s, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire \u00e0 ce qu\u2019il fait plut\u00f4t qu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019il ne fait pas. Je m\u2019explique\u00a0: nous observerons qu\u2019un \u00e9l\u00e8ve\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0quitte la ronde\u00a0\u00bb, au lieu d\u2019affirmer qu\u2019il \u00ab\u00a0ne respecte pas les consignes\u00a0\u00bb. Deuxi\u00e8me temps\u00a0: formuler des hypoth\u00e8ses afin d\u2019identifier les besoins \u00e9ducatifs particuliers des \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Les enseignants font souvent l\u2019\u00e9conomie de cette \u00e9tape, tant ils sont habitu\u00e9s \u00e0 trouver imm\u00e9diatement une solution. Or il ne suffit pas de rep\u00e9rer l\u2019obstacle\u00a0: il faut identifier et nommer ce dont l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve a besoin pour d\u00e9passer cet obstacle. Enfin, troisi\u00e8me temps\u00a0: proposer des adaptations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Est-ce si simple que cela\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c9videmment non ! C\u2019est \u00e0 la fois un travail d\u2019\u00e9quipe et une d\u00e9marche empirique : on peut se tromper d\u2019hypoth\u00e8se, ou d\u2019adaptation. Mais c\u2019est ce maillon-l\u00e0 que nous, enseignants sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, pouvons apporter aux professeurs des \u00e9coles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pour revenir \u00e0 l\u2019exemple de la danse, pour quelles raisons un \u00e9l\u00e8ve quitte-t-il une ronde\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cela peut \u00eatre parce qu\u2019il a besoin de rep\u00e8res temporels\u00a0: il ne sait pas \u00e0 quel moment il faut passer \u00e0 une autre action, ce qui peut \u00eatre r\u00e9solu par un rep\u00e8re sonore, visuel, ou le fait de venir lui taper sur l\u2019\u00e9paule. Mais cela peut \u00eatre aussi parce qu\u2019il ne comprend pas pourquoi il faut former et rester dans la ronde : il a besoin de donner du sens \u00e0 ce qu\u2019il fait. Ou bien c\u2019est parce qu\u2019il n\u2019est pas en confiance\u00a0: trop de gens inconnus autour de lui. \u00c0 chaque hypoth\u00e8se peuvent correspondre plusieurs adaptations. Et nous n\u2019identifions pas\u00a0le type de handicap (moteur, auditif, visuel, mental) car les besoins sont communs \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents profils d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ves.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9143 alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.usep.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Nov-handicap-6-pr\u00e9pa-bal-breton-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Votre fascicule sur les activit\u00e9s expressives aborde \u00e0 la fois les rondes, la danse de cr\u00e9ation, la danse collective, les marionnettes, les arts du cirque, la gymnastique rythmique et l\u2019escrime artistique. Pourquoi un si large \u00e9ventail\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Il nous a sembl\u00e9 int\u00e9ressant d\u2019aller voir du c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u2019activit\u00e9s diff\u00e9rentes mais permettant de d\u00e9velopper des comp\u00e9tences similaires, parce que certaines r\u00e9pondront mieux aux besoins et aux potentialit\u00e9s de tel ou tel profil d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve. Prenons la danse\u00a0: cette activit\u00e9 peut appara\u00eetre comme un support privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 pour des \u00e9l\u00e8ves en situation de handicap, car on est sur le \u00ab\u00a0corps sensible\u00a0\u00bb, sans enjeu comp\u00e9titif. En outre, l\u2019espace sol est id\u00e9al pour les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ayant des difficult\u00e9s motrices. D\u2019un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, la multiplicit\u00e9 des consignes dans les danses traditionnelles risque de nous faire \u00ab\u00a0perdre\u00a0\u00bb certains enfants en chemin. D\u00e9placer une marionnette sera alors plus facile pour certains, en leur permettant de s\u2019exprimer avec la parole plut\u00f4t qu\u2019avec le corps. Et puis, cette activit\u00e9 est pratiqu\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019Usep, non\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les f\u00e9d\u00e9rations sportives scolaires, Usep et UNSS, et celles d\u00e9di\u00e9es au handicap, Handisport et Sport adapt\u00e9, sont associ\u00e9es \u00e0 chacun de vos ouvrages. Dans le dernier, l\u2019Usep propose d\u2019utiliser la danse contemporaine comme activit\u00e9 support. Qu\u2019en pensez-vous\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Votre question nous renvoie \u00e0 notre premi\u00e8re exp\u00e9rience en mati\u00e8re de danse d\u2019improvisation\u00a0: nous avions rencontr\u00e9 les \u00e9l\u00e8ves, atteints de troubles moteurs, d\u2019un dispositif Ulis, pour leur proposer un projet commun avec des CM1 d\u2019une classe de Vitry-sur-Seine. Leur premi\u00e8re r\u00e9action fut\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0On ne va jamais y arriver\u00a0!\u00a0\u00bb Leur repr\u00e9sentation \u00e9tait celle de la danse de salon, qu\u2019il est inimaginable de pratiquer quand on peine d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 se tenir debout. Moins codifi\u00e9e, la danse cr\u00e9ative offre davantage de libert\u00e9, ce qui est un atout pour s\u2019adapter aux potentialit\u00e9s de chacun. Attention cependant\u00a0! Chez nos \u00e9l\u00e8ves, les probl\u00e8mes sensoriels et moteurs ne sont pas forc\u00e9ment les plus importants\u00a0: les troubles cognitifs sont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sents. Devoir op\u00e9rer des choix peut les fragiliser, les d\u00e9stabiliser. Certains pr\u00e9f\u00e8reront une routine, un encha\u00eenement ritualis\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9128 alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.usep.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Nov-handicap-3-photo-Usep-cr\u00e9ation-handi-valide-300x165.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"165\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Avez-vous une id\u00e9e de l\u2019impact de vos ouvrages\u00a0? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Durant pr\u00e8s de dix ans, nous avons organis\u00e9 avec l\u2019Usep en Val-de-Marne une grande manifestation appel\u00e9e <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usep94.fr\/evenement.php?Choix_Even=652%20target=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00ab\u00a0Handi\u00a0: cap sur le sport\u00a0!\u00a0\u00bb<\/a>, qui r\u00e9unissait des structures et dispositifs sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s et des classes ordinaires, autour d\u2019activit\u00e9s adapt\u00e9es et handisport pr\u00e9par\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019avance. Ce que nous proposions dans nos fascicules, en particulier celui sur les jeux et sports collectifs, prenait alors tout son sens. Lors de diff\u00e9rentes interventions, nous avons aussi rencontr\u00e9 des conseillers p\u00e9dagogiques qui les utilisaient. Mais pour ce qui est de l\u2019impact direct dans les classes, il est bien difficile de l\u2019estimer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les enseignants sont-ils suffisamment \u00ab\u00a0arm\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb pour mettre en place ce que vous proposez\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est difficile \u00e0 dire. Ce qui est av\u00e9r\u00e9 en revanche, c\u2019est que d\u00e9sormais les conseillers p\u00e9dagogiques envisagent l\u2019accueil de jeunes en situation de handicap. Cela d\u00e9passe l\u2019incidence de nos travaux et s\u2019inscrit dans un contexte g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, avec des injonctions du minist\u00e8re pour prendre en compte la pr\u00e9sence de tous les \u00e9l\u00e8ves. L\u2019inspectrice charg\u00e9e du dossier de l\u2019EPS en Val-de-Marne nous a \u00e9galement inform\u00e9s que nous serons amen\u00e9s \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des projets dans la perspective des Jeux olympiques et paralympiques de Paris 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Nous sommes \u00e9galement sollicit\u00e9s par l\u2019universit\u00e9 Paris-Est Cr\u00e9teil pour partager notre d\u00e9marche avec des \u00e9tudiants en Staps qui se destinent au professorat d\u2019EPS. Et, en dehors du milieu enseignant, nous avons r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9s \u00e0 traiter de la question du handicap avec des ma\u00eetre nageurs sauveteurs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mais tout enseignant peut-il reproduire les situations propos\u00e9es\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oui, avec un accompagnement. Car il ne faut pas le cacher\u00a0: pour un enseignant non sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans le champ du handicap, il peut \u00eatre difficile d\u2019identifier et de nommer les besoins d\u2019apprentissage d\u2019un \u00e9l\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Se pose aussi la question de l\u2019\u00e9valuation des \u00e9l\u00e8ves en situation de handicap\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est un point essentiel, et c\u2019est pourquoi nos s\u00e9quences p\u00e9dagogiques se terminent par une situation d\u2019\u00e9valuation \u2013 et plus rarement une proposition de rencontre. L\u2019\u00e9valuation est une question particuli\u00e8rement complexe pour les enseignants : \u00e0 partir de quel moment \u00e9valuer l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve ? faut-il prendre en compte les compensations imagin\u00e9es pour le mettre en r\u00e9ussite, ou est-ce l\u2019avantager par rapport aux autres ? \u00c0 ceci, nous r\u00e9pondons clairement : il faut conserver les compensations dans l\u2019\u00e9valuation, sinon on \u00e9value un handicap, pas une performance. On n\u2019imagine pas d\u2019enlever \u00e0 un d\u00e9ficient visuel son guide le jour o\u00f9 on l\u2019\u00e9value sur 200 m en athl\u00e9tisme ! L\u2019important, c\u2019est de rep\u00e9rer des contextes de r\u00e9ussite et s\u2019appuyer dessus pour enlever ensuite les b\u00e9quilles, et mesurer les progr\u00e8s.
